Free Full Length Baby Mama Movies

Released in 2008, Baby Mama's an offering from Universal Pictures, directed by Michael McCullers who also takes credit for writing. The Movie is a light-hearted endeavor starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in the roles of Kate Holbrook and Angie Ostrowiski. The plot is unusual and the performances by Fey and Poehler were solid throughout the movie.

Tina Fey plays Kate Holbrook, a character that's focused on her career to the exclusion of all else, finally landing her the job of a Vice-President in an Organic company. Holbrook, who has never felt the urges of having a family and personal life now begins to experience the pangs of motherhood deprived. Seeking to fulfill this need, she begins to try out various options to become a single mother. When all her attempts come to naught, Holbrook is left with dreams that are seemingly impossible.

Not one to be fazed by tough circumstances, Holbrook decides to find herself a surrogate mother to bear her child. She picks Angie Ostrowiski, a poorly educated dropout from high school whose aim is to make as much easy money as she can by being a surrogate mother. Matters heat up when Angie fights with her common-law husband and ends up seeking shelter in Kate's house. The two women are forced to live with each other with Kate taking on a motherly role towards the childish Angie who has by now found out that she's not pregnant with Kate's baby after all.

How the two women face up to the reality of the situation and cope with it forms the rest of the movie that manages to keep you entertained and engrossed for its 99 minute duration. While the rest of the roles - by Steve Martin, Greg Kinnear and Sigourney Weaver - are essayed with equal aplomb, the movie clearly belongs to Fey and Poehler. The plot steers clear of any heavy pregnancy-related issues, making it an out-and-out comedy that keeps your funny bones tickled throughout. The fact that the twists in the plot are unpredictable also adds to the appeal of the film.

The director also manages to walk the fine line between comedy and sentimentality offering both but not going overboard with the soppy stuff. The trailer, however, does absolutely no justice to the movie creating an image of a run-of-the-mill movie. Baby Mama, is far from that even if you can't label it brilliant. More than anything it's the great chemistry that Fey and Poehler share that lights up the screen and carries the movie through incredibly well.
