A stockroom employee at an electronics store, Stitzer is 40 years old and spends his free time sitting with his old neighbors and watching Survivor. When his colleagues need an extra person to enjoy their regular poker night, they reluctantly decide to ask Andy who surprises them with his prowess at the game - a talent he develops by playing online poker.
Towards the end of the game, Andy's colleague find out that he's never ever slept with a woman in all his years. There begins their mission to find him a match that will introduce him to the pleasures of the flesh. Several wacky situations ensue that keep you rolling with laughter as his colleagues try their best to hook Andy up with a woman. Andy willingly allows them to a take a lead in the matter initially but soon begins to take matters into his own hands.
Enter Trish Piedmont (Catherine Keener), the mother of three kids and even a grandmom at age 40, who agrees to go on a date with Andy. All of Andy colleagues are elated at what they think is about to happen at last, but events change course again when Andy agrees to Trish's suggestion of waiting it out until their 20th date before engaging in sex.
